Founded in 1992, Hispanics for LA Opera has been an instrumental part of LA Opera's success, presenting a wide variety of social, educational and cultural activities.

On Sunday, December 3, Hispanics for LA Opera will host the 2023 HLAO Awards and Celebración de las Artes. I hope you will join us for this very special event, celebrating HLAO’s 30th Anniversary and honoring three extraordinary individuals who have made a meaningful impact on our community. I am pleased to announce that this year’s honorees are civil rights activist, Dolores Huerta, LA Opera Board Member and acclaimed film director, Gregory Nava and LA Opera Connects teaching artist, Eli Villanueva.
